Nutsinee Kijbunchoo

Hi, I'm Nutsinee

I'm a hobbyist photographer based in Canberra, Australia, and a full-time PhD student doing experimental physics at ANU. Having lived in the U.S. for nearly 8 years and moved about multiple cities photography has always been my mean of escape from stress and a way to settle down.

Having spent 4.5 years in Louisiana I had access to the liveliest and the most colorful city New Orleans. It was where I developed an eye for street photography. I later moved to a smaller city, Richland, WA, but my passion for street photography has always stuck with me.

In a small town street photography was no longer a good option. Camera attracts a lot of attentions. I spent a lot of time thinking how I could go back to photography. My gears were catching dust for years until I taught myself portrait photography. I started paying attention to lighting in the way I never did.

It's 2019 and here I am, nkijphotography combines my love of street and portrait photography. I believe that photography is about capturing the souls. I like to capture my subjects within their contexts, interacting with their environments, and at their most natural expressions.
